Big Bang, the hottest boy band in Korea, as dubbed by MTV, has been nominated for the Asia Pacific group of the World Wide Act category. They are joined by Japan's EXILE, Indonesia’s Agnes Monica, Taiwan's Jay Chou, China's Jane Zhang, and Australia's Sia and Gotye.

Big Bang’s whereabouts are still unknown but at the very least, we know that they’ll be staying in the US for a week for a music video shoot. Big Bang will be making their comeback in just a few weeks so why have they flown across the world for their comeback video shoot?

YG Entertainment updated their YG Life blog today with an image that says Big Bang’s new album will not be a full length album as previously announced but instead will be a mini album.

All six tracks from the album – “Tonight,” “Hands Up,” “Café,” “Somebody To Love,” “What Is Right,” “Intro” – have captured the top six slots on all of Korea’s music charts such as Bugs, Soribada, Melon, Cyworld, Dosirak, mobile sites, and Mnet.

Interestingly, they will not be coming back on any music programs but instead will be holding their stages at their “2011 Big Show” on the 25th, 26th and the 27th which will allow them to sing all of their new songs instead of one or two title tracks.
