Giana Factory out of Denmark, is one of those lush, nuanced electropop bands that seem ripe for the remixers. The three ladies, Loui Foo (vocals, drum pads), Sofie Johanne (bass, synth) and Lisbet Fritze (guitar) have already invited other famous folk to remix them, including fellow Dane, Trentemøller. The electronic chart-topper messed with their track “Dirty Snow” off their 2010 debut LP Save the Youth.
They come with plenty of haunting offerings dissonance, creepy progressive indie Kate Bush weirdo experiments, and Raveonettes-style reverb washes that temporarily fool you into thinking their music is friendly and breezy. You’d be wrong.
