Born in Saudi Arabia to Syrian parents and raised in the Washington D.C. area, Omar Offendum is a bi-lingual hip-hop artist with a mission. After starting out rapping in a duo called the N.O.M.A.D.S (Notoriously Offensive Male Arabs Discussing S**T), Omar went solo and released an album of politically-tinged cuts in English and Arabic in 2010 called SyrianamericanA. Ever since the Arab Spring began shortly afterwards, he’s focused his energies on supporting the Middle East uprisings through music, especially in his beleaguered homeland of Syria.
