The electro-house DJ/producer/mogul Steve Aoki is, arguably, an EDM icon. He first won over LA with his massive beats and dance parties, gaining a large fan base from the college scene, then touring US/Canada headlining the Deadmeat Tour. These days, he packs stadiums.
During his college years, California’s Steve Aoki ran underground concerts, and by his late 20s, had founded his own record label, Dim Mak Records. His label is one of the biggest contenders in EDM now, with a roster boasting the likes of Dada Life, MSTRKRFT, and Zedd.
Everybody wants some Aoki style — he has collaborated with Afrojack and Boys Noize, and remixed Kayne, Lil Wayne, Peaches, and Bassnectar, and more exalted members of the A-list. In January 2012, Aoki’s debut studio album Wonderland was released, featuring collaborations with Kid Cudi, LMFAO and Chiddy Bang.
