Tove Styrke
Swedish pop songstress Tove Styrke was raised by a ballet dancer mother and guitarist father, but she actually didn’t get her start as a musician. After spending her late teens modeling for the likes of Cosmopolitan and Glamour, it was a run on the 2009 season of Swedish Idol that catapulted the young beauty into the music world. She placed third in the competition, propelling a deal with Sony and a self-titled album in 2010. Her second single, “White Light Moment,” hit gold on the Swedish singles chart, and her bubbly electropop soon earned her comparisons to Robyn and Swedish singer September. Tove’s fun, bouncy love songs make for a perfect techno-pop dance party.
