Anton Zaslavski, better known as electro-house wunderkind Zedd, got his start at the tender age of four on classical piano. Trading the ivories for a laptop, Zedd took his early musical training to the realm of EDM production. The German DJ/producer won multiple Beatport contests for both his remixes and original tracks, landing a spot on the website’s top ten chart for his debut release, “The Anthem.” The young DJ/producer got in contact with Skrillex on MySpace, of all places. After developing a strong mutual appreciation, the maestro of dubstep took Zedd under his bass-thumping wing (and on his 2011 tour), releasing Zaslavski’s first single “Shotgun” on his OWSLA record label shortly after. The future is bright for the young producer, who is set to tour with Lady Gaga in the summer of 2012. So for all you EDM enthusiasts out there, you’re better off Zedd.
