Experiment much? Well, it seems like the good’ole boys of Animal Collective have been buried deep in the lab since 2009′s Merriweather Post Pavilion album, honing in on their ambient, artsy, noise pop sound. And what have they come back with in 2012?

Centipede Hz, AC’s new album set to drop on September 4, which, from the looks of their new video for the project’s lead single “Today’s Supernatural,” might be just what the good doctor ordered. Thanks to long time Animal Collective collaborator Danny Perez (ODDSAC, Summertime Clothes, Who Could Win A Rabbit), AC’s psychedelic mayhem continues. This time they’re in the desert; Think Burning Man sans all the trappings. And clown make-up?
