HATEM, or “hello to all the world,” took their name from a Walt Whitman poem. And just as poetically, they slaughtered the competition in this week’s Artist of the Week. In a more Beowulf poem sort of way.

The indie-folk foursome uses harmonies, echoing guitars and dabbles of synth to create rich, hymnal soundscapes. Their new album Ultraviolet Catastophe is nostalgia-packed indie-pop built specifically to make you feel warm inside.
