Bondax’s buzz has skyrocketed in a matter of months, but it hasn’t been an easy ride. While it would be kinda obvious to compare them to Disclosure – there are two members in each outfit, they’re both from the UK, they both make house music, and they’re both young and forward-thinking – Bondax’s sensual sound is purposely made at a lower BPM than the typical 125 benchmark for the genre – making it, perhaps, more appropriate to play when serenading a loved one.

Colour Bomb

Colour Bomb’s single “On the Run” is one that knocks you about a little. The impressive vocal range on James Saunders — who sometimes plays in Gotye’s live band — is a heartrending, damn-near chilling force to be reckoned with. It’s underscored by post-rock indie-pop tropes with sudden key changes, organ twangs and off-kilter snare drum thwacks that never quite let you relax. It is, in fact, a lot like watching a play and chomping at the bit to see what happens next.

Emerging from the industrial city of Amagasaki, Japanese trio ZZZ’s marries the clatter and monotonous grind of industrial bands like Einstürzende Neubauten to the grooves and freak outs of proto-punk bands spawned industrial centers like The Stooges. Operate heavy machinery while listening to these ladies. Part machine and part beast, their roots burrow deep into the history of the underground.

Sebastian Mikael

The Ethiopian and Swedish 24-year-old Sebastian Mikael has an affinity for vintage tunes. He grew up in a household filled with music and cites Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley, Led Zeppelin and Magic System – favorites of his parents – as inspiration. It’s those tinges of soul that peek through his melodic, ballad-y single, “Beautiful Life,” and shine on in his party pop mixtape, J’Adore.

Voting Booth!

Poll Closed! And the winner Is…SEBASTIAN MIKAEL! Stay tuned….
