Though he gave very few details, D’Banj recently revealed that he’s is setting up his own record label in Africa. In an interview he did while in Ghana, the Nigerian pop star said the label was currently being structured but that it would have worldwide distribution through Universal Music Group.

This seems like just the next logical step in D’banj’s epic career. After joining Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. music this year, and branching out for into television and nightlife ventures, it only make sense for him to embark on a project like this, especially since splitting with Don Jazzy and the Mo’Hits record label they once helmed together.
