Emma Louise Kills Us Softly, And Goes Gold Down Under

The Ingenue with a guitar bares her heart, a beautiful jungle

From simplicity comes greatness. That’s the lesson from Emma Louise — the Australian girl with a quaint name and a big voice. While bigger names like Art vs. Science and Last Dinosaurs have been blowing up in Australia and the globe, their countrywoman has been quietly strumming her way into audience’s hearts — her debut EP Full Heart & Empty Rooms was just certified gold. Single “Jungle” takes Julia Stone’s heartrending vocals and adds some epic synth sweep a la The Jezabels — the result a spare-yet-lush song of passion. Mmmmm.

Full Heart & Empty Rooms is out now on French Kiss Records. Watch out for her debut full length next year, cause you know we will.
