Estonian Pop Queen Kerli On the Set of Alice in Wonderland’s “Tea Party”

What do you do when Tim Burton drags you over from Estonia, tells you to dress up like a cartoon character heading out to a Tea Party, and asks you to cover a song from the 1951 Alice in Wonderland Disney cartoon?

Um, you do it. You put your heart in soul into it. And you dress like a frickin’ CUPCAKE.

Earlier today we dished on the Almost Alice album, a collection of covers of the soundtrack to the 1951 Alice in Wonderland cartoon, re-envisioned for the Tim Burton re-make. And though Estonia’s pop princess Kerli’s song wasn’t yet online to be streamed on the DIsney site, it’s sure to be really good.

She covers the track “Tea Party” in an outfit that combines a taste of Coppola’s glossy Marie Antoinette and Harajuku Girls. It recalls, we think, Kirsten Dunst’s puffy anime outfit? What do you think?
