Three cultures came together back in 2007 when a French-Vietnamese producer teamed up with a keys player from the American south. We’re not sure how Onra and Byron the Aquarius found each other, but their collaboration yielded an album that’s equal parts Herbie Hancock and P-Funk.
Onra is one for the 80s feel of R&B, so if you’re into the Tokyo Dawn, New Jack Swing thing, this is for you. The track below will give you an idea.
The Big Pay Back came out in 2007, but didn’t get a wide release. Now with a little more clout and recognition, Onra tossed the album back on the airwaves. This makes you realize that there is a ton of awesome music coming out at any given time that you would LOVE if only you could find it.
Think of that when you listen to The Big Pay Back. Real music fans are always digging and searching for anything that might catch their fancy. This one was a freebie, but the quest for more continues…
