Gaby Moreno, the sultry Guatemalan singer bringing the retro-revival to Latin America, recently put out what could be the best Spanish-language album of the year — her gorgeous Postales. For her first single, he played it safe (too safe, maybe?) and released a video for “Ave Que Emigra,” a song recycled from her 2011 album Illustrated Songs with a funky folk-pop sound that sets it apart from the rest of the deeply bluesy album.

But good news! She just dropped a new video for her second single, “No Estoy Tan Mal,” the album’s heartbreaker. It’s a deep, bluesy ballad worthy of Etta James, pregnant with sexy organ swells and sizzling vocal turns from Gaby herself. The video was shot in Mexico in an old apartment building and in the famed Parque Mexico (Mexico’s answer to New York’s Central Park). As one might hope, it plays up the vintage vibes with muted colors, low lighting, and plenty of tragic facial expressions.
Annoyingly, they have debuted the video on the Spanish-language portal Terra, which doesn’t let you embed their videos, so to watch, you’ll have to click here.
