They’re filthy, they’re styling, and they’re altogether emasculating.

Introducing Oakland’s cult band Hottub, coiners of the phrase: “Manbitch, go make me a sandwich!”

Over two very overshadowed male musicians, the ladies rap/bark through über fun, bratty electropop a la Gravy Train or Go Chic. Their handful of singles, including “Manbitch” and “Lokos Only” (a tribute to the controversial Four Loko beverage) have earned them stage time with Das Racist and The Ting Tings.

Live show-goers witness sloppy choreographed dances, extreme crowd working, and copious amounts of flopping all over the stage. Within a few minutes of Internet stalking, I’ve witnessed the feral CoCo Machete, Jaysonik, and Ambreezy insert tinsel, riding crops, and entire microphones into their mouths, and they don’t give a f*** what you have you say about it.
