It appears — knock on wood — that all of our favorite musicians from Japan are safe, despite the recent record earthquake.

Just to be sure, we hit up some of their Twitter pages.

Like the rest of the world, the musicians are concerned about their loved ones, they’re sending love and prayers, and some of them ask fans to donate to the cause. It looks like at least one band, Shonen Knife, had to cancel a show in Tokyo because of the disaster.

Check out some of the tweets I found from J-pop legends Jin Akanishi (who tweets a heartfelt statement in Japanese) and AKB48, as well as some of our favorite indie acts Nedry, Zoobombs, Molice, Asobi Seksu, and Shigeto.
