In honor of Ghana’s elections, New York-based Ghanaian MC Nana NYC teamed up with award-winning Ghanaian star Samini for a reflective moment they’ve titled “One Nation.” It’s a non-partisan message of social responsibility and African unity.
The song was originally recorded in 2009, but BDN Records waited until now to release the video, directed by Eli Jacobs-Fantauzzi, to promote peaceful and positive elections. Shot in Accra, Ghana, the artist’s countrymen let some signs convey the ideas. Hopefully, they’re signs of the times. (Watch for cameos from hiplife legends Promzy and Lazzy of V.I.P. and watch for Nana NYC’s debut album in 2013.)
