Canada’s becoming known for exporting ferociously huge indie acts. And I’m not talking huge like, popularity. I mean literally — there are eleven members, toting kick drums and an upright bass.

BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE

Broken Social Scene — which in its off hours breaks up into about six other bands and solo projects — have dropped three tracks off May 4th’s Forgiveness Rock Record: the airy electro-pop thrill “All to All,” the epic “World Sick,” and rousing anthem “Forced to Love.” They’re all available in the player below or to stream free at the band’s site right now.

The cover for Together

Vancouver’s Neko-Case fronted collective is also dropping an upcoming album on May 4th — which record label Matador promoted at SXSW by playing as the soundtrack in a van they ran between the airport and downtown Austin. The album, Together, is dropping one song at a time. Single “Your Hands (Together)” already leaked. And their first official single, “The Crash Years”, is on sale today at iTunes; click here to buy it.

To celebrate its release, they’re launching a huge European tour in the Spring, backed by a North American tour in May — backed by MTV Iggy faves the Dutchess and the Duke and Imaad Wasif. Swoon.
