Pedro Infame Drops Fire On Música Chingona EP

Catch Him If You Can

By Garrett Houghton | April 27, 2012

Venezuela-born, Mexico-based DJ/producer Pedro Infame is giving his Latin-flavored electronic music two cups of coffee, five Red Bulls, and a shot of adrenalin with the release of Música Chingona, or “badass music chick.” The new EP, featuring six high-octane songs and several bonus tracks, speeds up the pulse and rarely halts from a blistering pace. But just when you think your head might explode from his furious beats, Infame drops some dubstep that warps the mind and slows your roll.

On the track “Estoy Mal” off the new EP, Mr. Infame combines blazing fast breakbeats with dirty, dirty grimestep bass. Add DJ Shadow-style old school jazz drum flavors, high-octave horror synth lines, and half-time grooves that lay back harder than a suburban dad in a Lay-Z-Boy, and you will get the feel of this Latin-style dubstep joint.
