Iceland’s Sin Fang has announced the release date of his third album Flowers with a ridiculous avalanche of rainbows and unicorns called “Young Boys.” It’s a legend of first love wrapped in some indie rock-damaged Paul Simon, a splash of the Beach Boys and some gold leaf.
It’s triumphal yet delicate and it pretty much guarantees that Flowers is going to be the album of the year when it comes out on Morr Music February 19. 2o13 is already over as far as I’m concerned. I don’t even care if a new My Bloody Valentine album drops. I mean it. Listen to “Young Boys.”
