Every hardcore fanbase knows that a big step in declaring your unwavering fandom to your favorite artist or band is figuring out your collective moniker. For instance, MTV IGGY Best New Band nominees 2NE1‘s got Blackjacks, Zowie’s got Z-Bots, and La Vida Boheme‘s got La Resistance. Slipknot’s got Maggots. Lady Gaga’s got Monsters. And Skrillex’s got…? Well nobody knows yet. But the dubstepper’s biggest fans are on the case and have set up a Facebook poll to decide their future nickname.

Judging by the poll results so far, Skrillex is amassing an army of “Ruffnex” (you know, like the song), which sounds pretty badass to us. But hey, if that doesn’t catch your fancy, “Skrillers” (Skrillex + killers) and Sonnies (as in, Skrillex’s government name) are also in the running. Or you can suggest your own, like Skrillex fan KODERS did: “im down for disciples cause Skrillex is Jesus :]”.
