Sprechen Sie Deutsch, Ghostpoet?

Sprechen Sie Deutsch, Ghostpoet?

The busiest man in downtempo is back home to England after a jaunt Down Under, but he’s not kicking back with some peanut butter and jam.

Ghostpoet has just announced a marathon tour through German-speaking nations. In the second half of November, he’ll play 11 shows in 14 days, through Switzerland, Germany, and Austria. It’s a grueling schedule for our favorite laid-back MC, whose head-nodding songs about depression and surviving failure have been making us feel better about ourselves since the February debut of his album Peanut Butter Blues and Melancholy Jam.

But what’s bad for Obaru Ejimiwe’s circadian rhythms is good for fans.  Heidelbergers, we envy you.

Here are the dates for the “Peanut Butter Blues and Melancholy Jam Tour 2011″:

Nov. 18: Lucerne
Nov. 19: Zürich
Nov. 22: Frankfurt
Nov. 23: Köln
Nov. 24: Heidelberg
Nov. 25: Linz
Nov. 26: München
Nov. 27: Nürnberg
Nov. 28: Berlin
Nov. 29: Dresden
Dec. 1: Hamburg

We’re sad that Ghostpoet didn’t made it to our Best Band in the World contest’s top five, but it’s obvious from his in-demand schedule that he is not lacking in love.

For you disappointed Ghostpoet fans, don’t be depressed! Try out the music of Atif Aslam, La Vida Boheme, Skrillex, 2NE1, or Yuna, our five remaining finalists for Best New Band in the World — they might make you smile too.
