London’s Syron, our favourite dance music-loving pop princess with soul, has a new single coming out on March 17 called “Here.” Having just returned to the UK after touring around Europe with Defected’s Tensnake to promote their nu-disco club banger, “Mainline”, the 20-year-old starlet had to pull something pretty darn special out the bag for her follow-up. Thankfully, she delivered here (pun intended). Syron’s soulful vocal floats effortlessly over Dan Dare and ZDOT’s slow-tempo, reggaeton-inspired production – which, surprisingly, also features a nice hint of trance in the breakdown. And, as to be expected with any good pop tune, the sing-along factor is way high. Daisy, we think you’ve got another winner on your hands here (damn, these puns!)
