I respect the grime MCs still doing their thing but, for me, something’s still missing. Just my opinion.

That was what I tweeted last week, and it received quite a big response from my followers and other grime-loving randoms. Personally, I feel that 65% of MCs around today have lost the hunger that was once very evident in grime music’s younger years. I mean, producers are headlining grime raves instead of MCs now! Why is that? Are they lacking in passion? Am I just being trivial? I don’t know. What I do know, though, is that there are a handful of barrers whose fire hasn’t been put out yet.
