For The Joy Formidable, teasing their forthcoming album Wolf’s Law is turning out to be a very natural process. The video for the meditative title track was like an epic nature documentary in black and white. The new video for the single “Cholla” continues that themes with monochromatic scenes from a harshly beautiful desert. It works because The Joy Formidable’s music sometimes has a tough of harsh beauty to it too, “Cholla” being one of those times. The single drops October 15. Watch for Wolf’s Law in January.

Should The Joy Formidable should just drop the other brogue and start scoring shows for the Discovery Channel? Wouldn’t that be awesome?
