Video game music has gone from epic 8 bit compositions of Zelda to incorporating some of the best producers into the world, matching their style to the feel of the game (yes, I am totally referring to Amon Tobin’s theme for Splinter Cell).
Now, the newest edition of the historically bad-a$$ game franchise Mortal Kombat has chosen Asian-American beat wiz TOKiMONSTA to produce the theme for the character of Mileena, the masked and mangled clone of Kitana. The synthed out track is a total forward-forward-punch-kick-kick-punch combo from the LA producer. Video game nerds, prepare for a lesson in nasty beats. Beat nerds, rejuvenate that childhood love for Fatality combos. This is going to be awesome.
