VIDEO PREMIERE: Jasmine Solano’s “Cruisin”

By Amy Andrieux | August 15, 2012

Jasmine Solano never sleeps. As one-half of the genius behind the Electric Punnany wave, the pretty-faced DJ (who spins for nearly every party “the cool kids are”) puts her rapper’s cap back on for “Crusin’,” the first official release off of her upcoming debut EP, RAP. Simply said, RAP promises six true-school tracks (think new school, but more thorough) with production help from some of her friends including DJ Wonder, DJ Fresh Direct and Brenmar. With Shady Records’ second-wind, Yelawolf, making an appearance on a cut, as does SB of Rocky Business, it looks like Jasmine’s sitting taller than a set of 22′s right now.

While it has been a minute since her last official music video look, a la Vashtie for 2010′s “That’s Not It” and “Turn It Up” featuring Hollywood Holt, Jasmine’s still got it. Check her out below as she whips a mean one through the streets of New York for her lastest video — the premiere of the Raak and Gilbere Forte produced track, “Cruisin’”, with visuals by The ICU.
