The Lytics is a hip-hop family fivesome from Winnipeg, but you wouldn’t quite know it from the first few phrases of their preview  single “Stay Calm” off their upcoming, sophomore album They Told Me. The track has a washed out, melodic indie rock Afrobeat vibe with some flow dropping in around the middle. Whatever the genre, if calming you is the intended effect, it works like a charm.
