Heather Holliday was born and raised in Manhattan, where she saw her first sideshow act at the famed nightclub CBGBs. At 19, she learned how to swallow swords, which landed her a job at the prestigious Coney Island Circus Sideshow. She worked there for seven years, picking up fire eating, knife throwing, and other terrifying tricks along the way. She currently tours the United States and internationally with the vaudeville act The Pretty Things Peep Show.

Musically, Heather grew up in a family of Wu-Tang Clan lovers, but she was always a punk rocker. Early Black Flag was a huge inspiration for her teen years, and she spent her high school nights touring with local bands as a merch girl. As she grew up, her taste expanded to rockabilly, psychobilly, and garage rock around the world, including groups like Guitar Wolf from Japan and The Messer Chups from Russia.
