There are girl groups, boy groups, super groups…and then there is the 66-person monster group that is AKB48. Yes, you read that correctly -- 66!! AKB48 is an idol group hailing from Akihabara, the otaku central of Japan. Together, they are the biggest idol group in the world, created to enhance the fan/star experience with a reputation of "idols you can meet every day." They mean that last part literally -- their shows feature around a third of the group so each fan gets personal AKB48 attention sooner or later. Their brand of magic will soon come to New York City, and in this exclusive interview we talk to three members of AKB48 about the upcoming show. Are they nervous? What do they want to see? These questions and much more in the clip. The girls look ready to wow New York to us, but we're not sure if New York City is ready to handle it!
