When it comes to visually capturing an audience, DJ-slash-producer Amon Tobin is untouchable. In a VIP, invite-only event, the brilliant Brazilian showed off his brand new digitally sculpted set. Featuring a 25′ x 14′ x 8′ multi-dimensional, shape shifting 3-D art installation, Tobin clearly has an aim to please his crowd – the set surrounds Tobin and envelopes him and the audience. The show and tour debuted at the Mutek Festival in Montreal where Tobin promoted his long-awaited album Isam. After 2 years since his last release, 5 long months of preparation for his set and work with 4 talented design teams, we welcomed him back with open arms.
