At Glasslands Gallery last Monday, the Basque-inspired, British American band Crystal Fighters raised the Brooklyn crowd to a fever pitch. Call it globo-wonk-funk, call it folktronica, it’s pure dance energy, and the boys of Crystal Fighters kept the rock dubstep mosh pit going from start to finish. Going through the hits of their debut album Star of Love, which drops in the US on April 24, Sebastian, Gilbert and Graham — with the help of drummer Andrea and singer Eleanor, unpacked a soundtrack for a global get-down dance party. Taking place somewhere warm. Where you might be on E. That’s Crystal Fighters ecstatic hybrid of dance music, loud guitar, and…txalaparta solos.
