Gobble Gobble's New (Destructive) Name

Gobble Gobble just premiered a new track under their new moniker, Born Gold. Despite the meh name change, “Decimate Everything” (off their upcoming album Bodysongs) retains the band’s signature squeezed, choppy, manic blippy effects — the ones that sound like  scary Japanese trancecore distilled into manageable electropop.

“Decimate Everything” is a lovely track; slower and easier that “Lawn Knives” and “Boring Horror” from their Gobble Gobble days. It’s also great segue into the band if you’ve never heard them before, and if you’re not as partial to saturated production. But make no mistake, Born Gold’s September 20 release is for stimulation-seekers only.
