Chile's Dadalú Has Crazy Flow On "No Sé Empezar"
Quirky Chilean dance pop provocateur Dadalú has released “No Sé Empezar,” off her debut full-length Periodo, as a free single from Michitarex Records. Her eclectic influences range from jazz to ska to hip hop and on this single she’s showing off the hip hop side of her inspiration.
Yep, Dadalú basically freestyles over the laid-back and moody synth track and she totally kills it. I think she’s ready to battle Niña Dioz.
The track itself it catchy but cool, with a touch of electro and old-school scratching that references the best of ’80s and ’90s hip hop. It’s the perfect song for pulling on a hoodie and going out to glower around a bleak urban landscape. For one thing, it will make things seem a little less bleak.
The brand new music video for “No Sé Empezar” is anything but bleak. It’s a total party with the whole band that will make you want to ditch your iPod for a boombox.
Oh, and the single comes with five remixes that up the dance party factor. That’s doing it up!
