Nelly Furtado’s “Mas,” the second single from Mi Plan, her full Spanish-language album, is a dramatic song with a melodramatic video, just released today. You know we’ll lick up anything made by the Portugese-Canadian songstress. But as Buzzworthy notes, this video is just not that realistic:

Nelly Furtado makes her man some breakfast, and said man can’t manage to tear his eyes away from his Twitter updates or his E-Trade account or whatevs…. Dude! It’s Nelly Furtado! And she made you a really good-looking breakfast! It’s not some mole-covered gargoyle shoving a half-toasted Pop Tart in your face. Is there a man on this increasingly-less-green Earth who would turn down a delicious breakfast from Nelly Furtado!? I think we all know the answer to that.

Plausibility aside, it’s nice to see a narrative video once in awhile, right? My last favorite domestic melodrama was Justin’s “Cry Me a River”… my heart is throbbing just thinking about it….
