"How Small We Are"
August 8, 2011
Despite the existentialist title, Pollyn’s psych-blues-soul foray “How Small We Are” is as swingin’ as a Janelle Monáe track.
The video from the LA trio is just as quirky. Between adorable stick figure animation, cowbell, and the perspectival manipulation (ahem, zoom in and zoom out) of lovely vocalist Genevieve Artadi, “How Small We Are” turns a very fatalist discussion into something endearing. Move over, Camus.
“How Small We Are” is out on Music! Music Group along with a Portishead cover on the B-side. Their new album, Living in Patterns, will be out in September.
