Italy's Radio Days Collages A Daydream For "Sleep It Off" Video
You’ll never believe this but we found another cute boy band from Italy! I know. What are the chances? Italian power pop band Radio Days has a sweet, smooth sound. Simple like the great power pop of the ’70s and early ’80s but with a certain Italian flair that hearkens back to the ’60s.
Their super catchy track “Sleep It Off,” from their first full-length C’est La Vie has all those qualities on display. It’s a poppy, bouncy soundtrack for hitting the snooze button with hooks and vocal harmonies for miles. Wow. Where have you boys been all my life?
Oh, right … Milan.
Anyhow, the winsome animated music video for “Sleep It Off” is just the thing for illustrating the sleepy eyed mood of the song. The cut and paste style and paper collage effects can’t help but remind you of simpler days — like in high school. And, hey, it’s all paper, so we’re only talking about one dimension here. It’s doesn’t get much simpler than that.
If real life were as pure and simple as this tune and the accompanying video, there would be no reason to sleep in.
