So Much

It’s here! In May, we told you that Canada’s Raghav had just put out his new single, “So Much,” featuring rapper Kardinal Offshall. Yesterday marked the release of the music video accompanying “So Much.” In it, Raghav and his friend walk into an ice cream store where Raghav becomes infatuated with a lovely lady working behind the counter. Cue ice cream cone licking, as well as sucking on various fruits. And per the lyrics, the lady is also seen munching on a Reese’s Peanut Butter cup.

Mmm…peanut butter cups.

Anyway, Raghav’s new hairstyle is really working for him, and this just the sort of cute, fresh, upbeat kind of song that sounds perfect in the summer. The music video was apparently shot in Chicago by American director, Ken Koller. It looks pretty good, (especially the delectable ice cream hottie) but I had some nit-picking questions for Mr. Koller:

1) What is the purpose of the dialogue in the beginning between Raghav and his friend?

2) Why does Raghav keep changing his sunglasses? I counted white frames, black frames, blue frames…Were there more?

3) Is Raghav supposed to be a high school kid? Is he bringing varsity jackets back into style?

4) Who is the smiling, chubby guy at the end of the video eating ice cream?

It’s the last question that’s keeping me up at night — he comes out of nowhere! Who IS that guy??  Anyone know the answer to this? What do you think of the video? Tell us what you think in the comments!

Raghav’s “So Much” is available for sale on iTunes.
