In 2011, MTV Iggy set out to find the top pop acts in the world. And on December 12, we presented the finalists in one of the biggest concert events of the year. MTV Iggy’s Best New Bands Concert packed the Best Buy Theater and MTV Studios in Times Square with rabid fans, celebrities, and the hottest bands from every corner of the globe.

One of our top performers was Jamaica’s Gyptian, whose gorgeous song “Hold Yah” became one of the biggest reggae crossover tracks to hit US shelves. We invited him to bring down the house…along with a few ladyfriends. Watch him perform “Beautiful Lady,” “Hold You,” and “Nah Let Go” at MTV Iggy’s Best New Band Concert.
