MTV Iggy first fell into a dirty shame-spiral with the Rubberbandits back in 2010. The plastic bag-swathed comedy hip hop duo churned out hilariously bawdy songs with gleeful and clever irreverence and we just couldn’t get enough. After interviewing them again and again, we invited the boys to New York City, to perform their first ever American show for the MTV Iggy cameras. They arrived four days before the concert, and we kept cameras rolling as they roamed the neon streets of Times Square and the tranquil parks of Brooklyn, paid tribute to the beaches of the Jersey Shore and tried to win over a big shot MTV executive. They wanted hot babes and MTV fame…and we got it all on tape.
