Colorful and jazzy, the angelic high notes of feature artist Micah & Jeremiah’s voice soon melt into the rich, punchy chorus in Phenomenal Handclap Band’s “Baby.” The song, off the New York bred indie octet’s self named album, features a break from their traditional style as they experiment with the jazzy sound of some robust brass instruments. The result is a walk down memory lane as their music echoes earlier influences David Mancuso and Charles Stepney while their video mimics an old ’70s home movie.
