Like a dog to a bone, New Yorkers flocked to a West Village, NYC currywurst storefront last week to see where the Afrobeats were coming from. They soon discovered Johannesburg’s eclectic futurist Spoek Mathambo dropping a blazing version of “Dog to a Bone” off his new album Father Creeper in MTV Iggy’s recent Pop-Up show. Thus, a street party was born.
